1ª Oficina Super OFF - SINGLE 8 - São Paulo
Uma nova aposta do Super OFF é reviver o formato Single 8. Ao longo de 2020, ano pandêmico, adquirimos câmeras do formato
da Fuji, com o intuito de revivê-las e explorar suas potencialidades. A Kodak lançou o Super 8 comercialmente em 1965. Uma câmera compacta, para uso doméstico. Na sequência, a Fuji lança o formato Single 8: Uma câmera também compacta com um cartucho em forma de B, onde é possível rebobinar e fazer múltiplas exposições. Pensando em uma oficina beta, direcionamos as inscrições para participantes experientes de edições anteriores do Super OFF. A oficina ocorreu no dia 07 de maio, nos moldes da Oficina São Paulo, em formato online e depois em data agendada, com manuseio presencial, das câmeras e orientações para filmagens. Os cartuchos utilizados estavam vencidos há mais de 30 anos. As câmeras estavam paradas na mesma época, mas deu tudo certo! Já podemos anunciar que vem muito Single 8 por aí ao longo dos próximos anos.
A new bet of Super OFF is to revive the format Single 8. Throughout 2020, pandemic year, we acquired cameras of the format of Fuji, in order to revive them and explore their potential. Kodak launched the Super 8 commercially in 1965. A compact camera, for home use. Following, Fuji launches the Single 8: A compact camera with a B-shaped cartridge, where it is possible to rewind and make multiple exposures. Thinking of a beta workshop, we directed registrations to experienced participants of previous editions of Super OFF. The workshop took place on May 7, in the form of the Oficina São Paulo, in online format and then in scheduled date, with face- to-face handling of the cameras and guidelines for filming. The cartridges used were expired for more than 30 years. The cameras were stopped at the same time, but everything worked fine! We can already announce that there is a lot of Single 8 out there over the next few years.
